Proserva helps instructors manage their responsibilities with students, course progress, grading assignments, and issuing course completion certificates.

My Courses and Workshops

Here you'll find the courses you've enrolled in as a student, the courses you're creating, and the courses you've finished creating and can manage.

To access the courses you manage scroll to the bottom of the "My Courses & Workshops" page. Find a course you've created and click the "Manage" button.

Managing Your Course

There are 3 main areas that will help you manage your course and those enrolled in it.

Students

Here you can:

  • see the students enrolled and those invited.

  • invite more students to take your course.

  • export the list of students.

  • see the students' course progress and current course grade.

You can also:

  • Award Certificates. (Once it is issued you cannot recall it.)

  • View a student's profile.

  • Direct message the student.

  • Remove the student.

Gradebook

When a student submits an assignment it will show up here. You'll be able to:

  1. See all the students' course grades.

  2. Individual assignment grades.

  3. Ungraded assignments that will need to be graded.

  4. Gaps signifying assignments that still need to be assigned.

Grading Assignments

If you click the "Ungraded" label or an individual assignment grade you'll be taken to the assignment.

Here you can:

  1. Download any submitted assignments

  2. Review the assignment outline

  3. Give a simple grade

  4. Use a rubric for grading if used

  5. Notify the student of a graded assignment

  6. Write private comments that the student will not see.

Lesson Progress

Get an overview of your class's progress through the course. Here you'll be able to:

  1. See all the lessons in your course.

  2. See any assignments ready for grading.

  3. See the progress of enrolled students for each lesson.

  4. Change weight.

Adjusting Assignment Weights

Assignment weights can be adjusted on the fly. You'll see the assignment weight adjusted across all assignments when one assignment is changed.

Course Notifications

Notification Bell

Once a student submits an assignment for your course you'll get a notification under the notification bell. You can view the notification or mark all messages as read.

Student Notification Email

When you return a grade, students will be notified via email. Also, when you send a message to a student they will receive an email.
