Timelines

Going through the process of licensure via portfolio can be a lot of work. Once a candidate progresses through the stages they are often eager to know how long it will take to hear back from PELSB. Here are some common questions and answers surrounding timelines:

Once I've submitted my eligibility how long will it take for me to hear back from PELSB?

  • PELSB typically takes up to 2 weeks to reply back to a candidate after they have submitted their eligibility. Often it is sooner than that and sometimes it can be 3 weeks, depending on their workload.

What happens once I've submitted my portfolio?

  • PELSB audits the portfolio to ensure it is ready for reviewers and then collects payment. After that point it can take around a week to hear back.

Evidence

Do I need to provide evidence for every single standard?

  • Yes you do need to provide evidence for every single standard. How much evidence varies for each standard. For some, 1 piece of evidence might be enough for others you may need 3-4. It depends on the depth, breadth and ensuring you have evidence for all parts.

Standards

How do I know the standard is ready to be submitted?

  • All standards need to be "Marked Complete" before the portfolio can be submitted. You do this by opening the standard -> adding evidence -> providing reasoning. Once this is done you click the "Mark Complete" button.
