Timelines
Going through the process of licensure via portfolio can be a lot of work. Once a candidate progresses through the stages they are often eager to know how long it will take to hear back from PELSB. Here are some common questions and answers surrounding timelines:
Once I've submitted my eligibility how long will it take for me to hear back from PELSB?
PELSB typically takes up to 2 weeks to reply back to a candidate after they have submitted their eligibility. Often it is sooner than that and sometimes it can be 3 weeks, depending on their workload.
What happens once I've submitted my portfolio?
PELSB audits the portfolio to ensure it is ready for reviewers and then collects payment. After that point it can take around a week to hear back.
Evidence
Do I need to provide evidence for every single standard?
Yes you do need to provide evidence for every single standard. How much evidence varies for each standard. For some, 1 piece of evidence might be enough for others you may need 3-4. It depends on the depth, breadth and ensuring you have evidence for all parts.
Standards
