Overview
Prospero is available from the browser or on desktops and mobile devices as a Progressive Web App (PWA).
Browsers
The Prospero web app can be accessed by logging in to app.prosperoapp.com/login. Prospero will launch directly in your browser window.
Prospero should work on most evergreen browsers. We officially support the latest version of Chrome and do our best to maintain support for other popular browsers such as Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
iOS and Android
You can use Prospero on your mobile or tablet devices with our PWA. Our PWA is self-published and cannot be downloaded via the App Store or Play Store. On iOS:
Go to app.prosperoapp.com (any page in the admin application, including the login page) in Safari (on iOS 16.4 or later, you can use also use Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Orion).
Once the page loads, tap the "Share" button (it looks like a square with an arrow pointing upwards).
In the share menu, tap on the "Add to Home Screen" option.
Customize the name of the app (we recommend "Prospero" π) and tap "Add."
You can now launch Prospero as a standalone app, including full multi-tasking and push notification support.
On Android, specific steps vary based on your operating system. In general:
Go to app.prosperoapp.com (any page in the admin application, including the login page) in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera, or Samsung Internet Browser.
Once the page loads, tap the "..." or "Menu" button.
In the menu, tap on the "Add to Home Screen" option.
Tap "Install."
Customize the name of the app (we recommend "Prospero" π) and tap "Install" again.
You can now launch Prospero as a standalone app, including full multi-tasking and push notification support.
macOS and Windows
You can use Prospero on your desktop devices with our PWA. Our PWA is self-published and cannot be downloaded via the App Store or Play Store:
Go to app.prosperoapp.com (any page in the admin application, including the login page) in Chrome or Edge.
Once the page loads, click the "Install" button on the right side of the URL bar (in Chrome it looks like a desktop with an arrow pointing downwards; in Edge it looks like three squares in an "L" shape with a "+" in the top-right).
Click "Install."
You can now launch Prospero as a standalone app, including full multi-tasking and push notification support.
App Updates
We release updates to Prospero on a rolling basis, as frequently as every few hours. Updates are automatically detected whenever you have the application open. A prompt will appear in the bottom-right of your app to update Prospero.
We only officially support the most recent version of Prospero, so updating promptly is important to ensure you don't experience degraded functionality.
