If you upload a song that is over 30 minutes long, SoundSystem will display the following error on your release:

  • "Length too long! Please create a DJ Mix release instead."

If your song is actually over 30 minutes long, and is not a DJ Mix, please contact the Proton team for help by clicking the Intercom icon in the bottom right corner.

Why can't I upload a DJ Mix as one giant track?

 In the past, Apple supported releases where a DJ Mix was one long, giant track on their store. But this is no longer allowed by Apple going forward.

Instead, music labels need to release their DJ Mixes where each song in the mix is uploaded separately as its own song on the release.  On Proton, the best way to do this is by creating a DJ Mix release instead of a normal release.
