Proton has a long standing relationship with Cid Inc, a best-selling artist and mastering engineer. We can fully recommend his mastering services, and if you run a music label with Proton, you can even get a nice discount.

Who is Cid Inc.?

Henri Hurtig (aka Cid Inc.) — the man behind the Replug music label and a legacy of bestselling and critically acclaimed progressive techno tracks — is also the mastering engineer behind Proton’s official in house labels: Proton Music & Particles.

His work is world class, as evidenced by some of his clients: artists Max Cooper, Guy J, Ryan Davis, Nick Warren, Jimmy Van M, Pig & Dan, Hernan Cattaneo, Christian Smith; labels Lost & Found, Hope, Tronic, Sud Beat, Stripped, microCastle, Black Hole, and subtract music.

How much does mastering cost?

Proton has partnered with Henri to bring labels a significant discount,

Standard Prices (for labels NOT with Proton):

  • €35/track

  • €20/track (when you have multiple releases per month)

Proton Label Discounted Prices:

  • €28/track

  • €15/track (multiple releases per month)

What are the guidelines for files?

  • 24 Bit WAVs with a sample rate of 44.1khz or higher

  • At least -3dB of headroom with no mastering plugins on the master channel

  • A sample MP3 can be sent with mastering plugins as a “guide” but this is not required

  • Files can be sent via any method: WeTransfer, MediaFire, FTP, etc.

  • Name tracks “Artist - Track Name - Mix Name - Label Name” to avoid confusion

OK, how do I get started?

You can email him or visit cidincmastering.com. When you contact Henri, if you're a music label distributed by Proton, let him know so you can receive the Proton discount!
