Are you an artist with at least 1 release on a music label distributed by Proton?
Get your artist profile instantly claimed on Spotify.
Access Spotify for Artists immediately, without having to wait!
Once claimed, you'll be able to feature playlists on your profile, upload images, access advanced daily reporting, and start uploading Canvas videos to all your tracks.
Pre-Requisites
This will only work if you have at least 1 release on Spotify when:
You're the release level artist. This means you need to be listed at the top of the release on Spotify. This unfortunately won't work if you're a remixer or featured in a various artists compilation.
Your release must ALREADY BE ONLINE at Spotify. If your release is not out yet, you won't be able to get instant access through Proton. Wait till the release date!
Your release must be on a music label distributed by Proton. If your music label is not distributed by Proton, we can't help you get instant access or claim your profile.
OK — I meet the requirements. How do I do it?
Step 1 - Sign into Proton and head over to your Pro Access area
Step 2 - Next to the artist profile you want to claim, click EDIT
Step 3 - Scroll down to LINKS & CONNECTIONS and click CLAIM next to Spotify
Step 4 - Login to Spotify with the user account you want connected to your artist profile. This will be the user account that gains access to Spotify for Artists.
That's it! You'll be immediately taken directly to Spotify for Artists, and your artist profile on Spotify will now show the Registered Artist label.
A note on "Registered" vs. "Verified"
Claiming your profile through this process gives you the Registered Artist label, which appears in the About section of your Spotify profile. This confirms you've claimed and are actively managing your profile, and it's what unlocks the Spotify for Artists tools described above.
It's separate from the green Verified by Spotify badge, which artists cannot apply for or claim. Spotify grants that badge on an ongoing basis based on factors like consistent listener engagement, platform standing, and signals of a real, active artist presence (tour dates, merch, linked social accounts, etc.). Claiming your profile is a great first step, but it doesn't automatically lead to the green badge, that comes from building your presence and audience over time.
Get Access to Spotify for Artists for Your First Release
Releasing your first track as a primary artist is an exciting milestone! If this is your debut release and you want to access Spotify for Artists before your music goes live.
Why This Matters
Gaining early access to Spotify for Artists lets you take control of your artist profile, engage with your listeners, and start building your brand as a professional artist. It's the perfect way to establish your presence on Spotify and kick off your music career on the right note!
Here's How You Can Do It
You're the primary artist – This means you're listed as the main artist on the release (not just a remixer or featured artist).
Social media profiles – Be ready to share links to your artist-related social media accounts, such as Instagram, Facebook, or your YouTube channel.
Release details – Provide the following:
The UPC (Universal Product Code) for your release.
An ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) for at least one of your tracks.
If you don't have these codes yet, don't worry! Reach out to us at support@protonradio.com so we can help.
