Managing Multiple Accounts with Proxies: IP Rotation and User Management

Updated over a month ago

Overview

This comprehensive guide explains how to effectively manage multiple accounts using proxies, including:
IP rotation strategies
User credential management
Best practices for maintaining unique digital identities

Whether you need multiple simultaneous connections or secure account management, this article provides essential configuration details for optimal proxy setup.

Creating Multiple User Accounts

1️⃣ Creating Sub-Users Under One Account

📌 Key features of sub-user accounts:
✔ You can create up to 10 sub-users under your main account by default.
✔ Each sub-user has unique credentials, providing separate digital identities.
Sub-user limits can be increased upon request to accommodate specific needs.

2️⃣ Creating New Users

🔹 To create a new user:
1️⃣ Log in to your account using your current credentials.
2️⃣ Navigate to the "Users" tab in your proxy network dashboard.
3️⃣ Select "+ New user".
4️⃣ Complete the required information for the new user.
5️⃣ The system will generate a new password for this user.

📢 Important Note:

  • The password for user accounts cannot be changed.

  • For better security, create new users periodically and disable or delete old ones.

IP Rotation and Session Management

1️⃣ Understanding IP Rotation Options

Our service offers several ways to manage IP addresses:

Automatic Rotation

  1. Navigate to your proxy settings.

  2. Find the "Session Type" option.

  3. Select "Rotating" from the available options.

  4. Each new connection will automatically receive a fresh IP address.

Sticky Sessions

  • Can be adjusted in the proxy builder using the session duration field or by manually editing the TTL of the proxy connection string.

2️⃣ Managing Multiple Concurrent Sessions

📌 How to use multiple concurrent sessions effectively:
Unlimited concurrent connections are supported.
✔ Each session can be independently managed and rotated.
✔ When IPs rotate, they remain within your selected target region.

Common Use Cases

Web scraping across multiple targets simultaneously.
Distributing API requests across different IP addresses.
Managing multiple social media accounts securely.
Testing geo-targeted content from various locations.

Troubleshooting Tips

🔹 Experiencing IP rotation issues?
✔ Ensure "Rotating" session type is selected instead of "Sticky".

🔹 New IP not reflecting?
✔ Try clearing your browser cache and retrying the connection.

🔹 Connection problems?
✔ Verify that your authentication details are correctly configured.

🔹 User management issues?
✔ Ensure that you are using the correct user credential, and that the user is not locked.

🔹 Sub-user limitations?
Contact support if you need an increase in sub-user allocation.

📌 To verify your current IP address:
Visit WhatIsMyIPAddress.com. Please note that web-based IP checkers may not update with each IP change of the proxy due to caching. Sending curl requests to an IP checking API is best.
