Managing Multiple Accounts with Proxies: IP Rotation and User Management

This article covers how to manage multiple accounts and concurrent sessions using Proxiware proxies.

Sub-Users

Your main Proxiware account supports up to 10 sub-users by default. Each sub-user has its own unique credentials, which means each one presents a separate identity when connecting through the proxy network. This is useful for:

  • Assigning dedicated IPs or sessions to different accounts you are managing.

  • Distributing proxy access across team members.

  • Isolating traffic from different projects or clients.

To create a sub-user, go to the Users section of your dashboard and select New User. Credentials are generated automatically. If you need more than 10 sub-users, contact support to request an increase.

Concurrent Connections

There is no limit on concurrent connections. You can run as many simultaneous sessions as your use case requires across all proxy types.

IP Rotation

All per-GB proxy products support two session modes, configurable from the proxy builder in your dashboard:

  • Rotating — a fresh IP is assigned on each new request or connection. Best for scraping and high-volume tasks where IP diversity reduces block risk.

  • Sticky — the same IP is maintained for a set duration. Set your session duration in the proxy builder or by editing the TTL parameter in your proxy string. Most pools support sessions up to 1440 minutes. Premium Residential Pool 4 caps at 120 minutes.

Best Practices for Multi-Account Management

  • Assign one unique sub-user or sticky session per account — never share an IP across multiple accounts on the same platform.

  • Use Mobile or Premium Residential proxies for social media account management, as these carry the highest trust scores.

  • Maintain consistent browser fingerprints per session when automating browser activity.

  • Add randomized delays between actions to avoid triggering rate limits or behavioral detection.

Verifying Your IP

To confirm which IP your proxy connection is using, send a request to an IP checking API such as https://api.ipify.org. Note that browser-based IP checkers may cache results and not reflect IP changes immediately.
