Follow the step-by-step instructions below to enable proxy settings on Windows 11 device.

How to Enable a Proxy on Windows 11

  1. Open Settings. Click the Windows icon on your PC and select Settings.

  2. Go to Network Settings. In the left-hand menu, click Network & Internet.

  3. Open Proxy Settings. Scroll down and select Proxy.

  4. Choose Manual Setup. Under Manual proxy setup, click Set up.

  5. Enter Proxy Details.

    • Toggle Use a proxy server to On

    • Enter the IP address and Port

  6. Exclude Local Addresses (Optional). If needed, add trusted websites to the field Don’t use the proxy server for local addresses.

  7. Save Settings. Click Save to apply the configuration.

When you open your browser, an authorization window may appear. Enter the username and password.

How to Disable a Proxy on Windows 11

If you no longer need a proxy, follow these steps to disable it:

  1. Open Settings. Click the Windows icon and select Settings.

  2. Navigate to Proxy Settings. Go to Network & Internet and click Proxy.

  3. Turn Off Automatic and Script Setup (if enabled).

    • Switch Automatically detect settings to Off.

    • Under Use setup script, click Set up, toggle it Off, and click Save.

  4. Disable Manual Proxy. Under Manual proxy setup, click Set up, toggle Use a proxy server to Off, and click Save.

    Done! The proxy setup on Windows 11 has been successfully completed.
