Video Guide: Installing and Using Proxy in Proxy Switcher and Manager
Follow the instructions below to get started setting up a proxy in Proxy Switcher and Manager.
To start setting up a proxy in Proxy Switcher and Manager, install the extension from your browser web store and open it from the extensions menu.
In the Manual Proxy section, enter a name in the Profile Name field to help you identify the configuration later.
Fill in your proxy server details — IP address and port number — in the HTTP Proxy and Port fields. Then select your connection protocol from the Server Type dropdown.
If you're using residential proxies, you can paste the host and port once and let IP rotation handle the rest automatically based on the rules set in your dashboard.
If you want the proxy to apply only to specific websites, enter them in the Direct field separated by commas — otherwise, leave it blank. Once everything is filled in, click the green checkmark button to save the profile.
To temporarily disable the proxy, click the yellow button in the top right corner of the settings panel.
To fully turn off the extension, click the Extensions icon in your browser toolbar and toggle it off in the panel that appears.
Done! The proxy setup in Proxy Switcher and Manager has been successfully completed.
