Why Are Reviews Reported?
Reviews can be reported for several reasons based on Amazon’s review policies, including:
📝 Generic Reviews
Example: “Amazing book.”
These vague, low-effort reviews are considered low quality and may be flagged as fake. Reviews should be specific, opinionated, and show clear signs the reviewer actually read the book.
🤖 AI-Written Reviews
Reviews generated by AI tools (like ChatGPT) are not allowed and are quickly flagged by Amazon.
📋 Plagiarized Reviews
Reviews must be original and based on your own experience. Copying from other reviews or sources violates Amazon’s guidelines.
🚫 Defamatory or Hateful Content
Personal attacks, hate speech, or defamatory language violate community standards and result in removal.
❌ Inaccurate Reviews
Reviews must be factually accurate. False information breaches Amazon’s rules.
What Happens If Your Review Is Reported?
If your review is reported for policy violations, you must take action within 7 days. While we prefer edits to keep the process smooth and help you improve your feedback, deletion may be necessary in rare cases. During this time, your snaps will be removed, and your access to new reading assignments will be paused.
Please keep in mind, completing the requested action unlocks your Library access but does not return snaps. Snaps are never refunded to reviewers whose reviews violated policies, to encourage positive behavior changes moving forward.
We encourage you to familiarize yourself with Amazon’s guidelines for writing reviews. You can read Amazon's full help article on the subject here.
