How does pubby work?

Pubby helps authors receive genuine reviews for their books on Amazon. Books are read and reviewed by other authors. Think of us as a big group of authors all with one goal: reviews!

Step 1: Add your book

Add your book's details. Choose what types of reviews you would like to receive. We offer these review options:

  • Standard reviews (author provides a file of the book and readers download it)

  • Kindle Unlimited reviews (readers download the book from Amazon using their Kindle Unlimited reading subscription: books must be enrolled in KDP Select)

  • Verified Purchase reviews (readers purchase the eBook format of the book from Amazon: books may be on free promotion or priced as high as $4.99)

Step 2: Request Reviews

Each time you request a review, you will spend "snaps." Snaps are our community currency. The most popular way to earn snaps is by reviewing others' books.

When you join, you start with a sign-up bonus of snaps. Use these to get your first review(s).

Check out this article for more information on ways to earn snaps.

Step 3: Watch the reviews roll in

Once you request a review, your book will be posted in our Library.

The review process looks like:

  1. Reader signs up to read a book

  2. Reader has X days to read and write a review on Amazon

  3. By the due date, the reader must write a review on Amazon and turn in their assignment on pubby

  4. Pubby's system automatically searches several times per day for the review using the reader's Amazon Reviewer Name

  5. When our system finds the review on Amazon, we will pull it into your dashboard

  6. If we cannot find the review on Amazon, we continuously contact the reviewer to problem solve. Eventually, if the review never posts, we will cancel the reader and put your book back in the Library automatically

Your dashboard will keep you updated on the progress of each review as it goes thru these stages.
