KDP refers to Kindle Direct Publishing. It is Amazon's self-publishing platform.
Most of our authors published their books on KDP.
Their website is kdp.amazon.com.
What is "KDP Select"?
KDP Select is a free 90-day program. When you enroll your ebook in KDP Select, it is automatically included in the Kindle Unlimited catalogue (KU).
Only KDP-published ebooks can enroll.
When you enroll in KDP Select, your book becomes available in the Kindle Unlimited catalogue.
What is "Kindle Unlimited"?
Kindle Unlimited is a reading subscription on Amazon. It gives readers unlimited access to ebooks in the catalogue.
If your ebook is enrolled, you will see this stamp on your book's listing page:
Books available thru KU earn some money from page reads. For each page read by a KU subscriber, you may receive small royalties.
Due to the difficult nature of verifying page reads, it is not part of our verification process.
What are Kindle Unlimited Reviews on pubby?
If your book is available thru Kindle Unlimited (see above), then you can request our Kindle Unlimited reviews.
Your ebook must be offered thru Kindle Unlimited in order to request our Kindle Unlimited reviews.
Pubby reviewers will download your book from Amazon using their KU subscription.
Enroll in KDP Select
If you want to offer your book thru Kindle Unlimited, enroll in KDP Select. Remember, you can only enroll in KDP Select if you published your book on kdp.amazon.com. If you published your book elsewhere, we encourage you to read about our Verified Purchase reviews instead.
To enroll in KDP Select:
Go to your Bookshelf.
Next to the Kindle eBook you want to enroll, click the ellipsis button (“…”) under the Kindle eBook Actions menu.
Select Enroll in KDP Select.
On the screen that appears, click Enroll.
You can also enroll your Kindle eBook by following these steps:
Go to the Marketing page.
In the KDP Select section, click Enroll an eBook.
Select your eBook and click Continue.
Click Enroll.
Remember, your ebook must remain exclusive thru the 90-day enrollment period. Your book should only request Kindle Unlimited Reviews on pubby during this time.
Can I join pubby if my book is enrolled in KDP Select?
Absolutely!
Request our Kindle Unlimited or Verified Purchase review options if you are enrolled in KDP Select. These are compliant because the reader will get the book on Amazon, not on pubby.
Refrain from requesting our Standard review option if you are enrolled in KDP Select. This option requires the reader to download your manuscript file from our site, which would break your KDP Select agreement.
Are KU assignments popular with pubby readers?
Yes! Some readers will only sign up for KU assignments.
That said, Standard assignments are the most popular type with readers, because they require no extra payments. Kindle Unlimited reviews are still popular with readers for this reason.
Verified Purchase assignments also attract many readers due to their large snap values.
Request a mix of all three review types to appeal to all readers.
