Understanding Assignment Types as a Reader

We have three main assignment types: standard, kindle unlimited, and verified purchase. We hope the below images help you understand which type you've signed up for, and what the review process is for each.

Standard assignments all come with a free download of the book file. You download it directly from our site. After you've signed up to read the book, click the title in the left sidebar. There, you can see the blue Download Book button when it's available. Click this button to download the manuscript.

Please keep in mind, as of mid-April 2025, Amazon limits reviewers to 5 non-Verified Purchase (what we call "Standard") reviews per week. To help you stay within this limit, we've updated our system—once you've completed 5 Standard reviews in a week, we recommend switching to Verified Purchase and/or Kindle Unlimited assignments until the following week.

Kindle Unlimited (KU) assignments require a Kindle Unlimited Reading Subscription on Amazon. You will download the book on Amazon directly, not on pubby.

Click the book title in the left sidebar. There, you will see 'Requires Kindle Unlimited.' Click 'View on Amazon' to be taken to the book's sales page. There, you can download the book for free using your Kindle Unlimited Reading Subscription.

Verified Purchase (VP) Assignments require readers to purchase the book on Amazon. The book should be priced between $0.99 and $4.99. If the price displayed on pubby does not match the price on Amazon, contact support.

You cannot use promotional credits to purchase the book.

You cannot use Kindle Unlimited for these assignments.

Verified Purchase Free Promotion Assignments

Verified Purchase (VP) Free Promotion Assignments are priced at $0.00 on Amazon for a limited time. These are called "Free Promotions."

Readers must buy the book from Amazon for $0.00. If you go to Amazon and the purchase price is not $0.00, please contact support.
