A leak sensor is designed to detect possible water leaks to protect you, your home, and your neighbors from water damage.
When a leak is detected, you will receive an email and a push notification alerting you to the issue. The email experience will remain the same for now, and your community maintenance team will automatically receive a work order to check on the leak.
When you get this notification:
Tap the push notification or view it from your notification inbox.
You’ll be taken to an in-app screen (if you’re on mobile) where you can confirm if there’s a leak or mark it as a false alarm.
If you mark it as a false alarm, the work order will be closed, and maintenance will not come by to check the area. You will be asked to provide a reason, choosing from:
Minor spill or leak, cleaned quickly
Splashed with water (accidental)
Condensation on sthe ensor
I’m not sure
Other (please explain)
These options help us understand what triggered the alert and ensure your sensor is working as expected. If it is a true leak, your maintenance team will handle it right away to keep your home protected.
