What Happens When My Leak Sensor Identifies a Leak?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

A leak sensor is designed to detect possible water leaks to protect you, your home, and your neighbors from water damage.

When a leak is detected, you will receive an email and a push notification alerting you to the issue. The email experience will remain the same for now, and your community maintenance team will automatically receive a work order to check on the leak.

When you get this notification:

  • Tap the push notification or view it from your notification inbox.

  • You’ll be taken to an in-app screen (if you’re on mobile) where you can confirm if there’s a leak or mark it as a false alarm.

If you mark it as a false alarm, the work order will be closed, and maintenance will not come by to check the area. You will be asked to provide a reason, choosing from:

  • Minor spill or leak, cleaned quickly

  • Splashed with water (accidental)

  • Condensation on sthe ensor

  • I’m not sure

  • Other (please explain)

These options help us understand what triggered the alert and ensure your sensor is working as expected. If it is a true leak, your maintenance team will handle it right away to keep your home protected.
