This FAQ will cover the most common questions about our Manuscript Generator feature. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask in the private beta community or to message our support team.

Is the AI-generated manuscript ready for publishing?

It is ready for editing.

That's still a few steps short of publishing. AI-written manuscripts lay an incredible foundation for your book but aren't finished products that you should immediately upload to Amazon.

Take the time to read your book and make smart edits. AI is a great assistant, but it can't keep the entire book in its memory simultaneously, so you will likely find instances of repetition or contradiction. You may also find that the tone or style of certain sections doesn't match the way a human author would write or that factual details need fleshing out or correcting.

The manuscript is an insanely efficient first draft that does 90% of your work. Once you've applied the effort needed to polish the results, you should have a book that shines!

I'm not happy with the output. What do I do?

We are confident that most manuscript outputs will be interesting, well-written, and usable (with the above caveats) as we are constantly working to improve results.

If your manuscript just isn't quite what you wanted, we suggest using ChatGPT to rewrite specific sections or do some targeted editing of your own.

However, if your manuscript has technical deficiencies, you may contact support@publishing.com for assistance. The following occurrences qualify:

  • Missing chapters

  • Repeated chapters

  • A credit is used, but no manuscript is generated

  • One or more chapters are clearly unrelated to the topic

When you contact support, you will be asked for some basic information to confirm this so that we can create a bug report for our development team to investigate.
