Pulpo simplifies fleet management through the Assignments feature, allowing you to link vehicles, drivers, and payment methods easily and accurately. In this article, we explain how to create assignments and how they impact your fleet operations.


Recording Assignments

Pulpo offers multiple ways to record assignments within the platform:

1️⃣ From the Table View

✔ Go to the Fleet module and select an object (Vehicles, Drivers, or Payment Methods).
✔ Select the object using the checkbox to the left of the table.
✔ Once selected, the Assignment option will be enabled in the top menu. Click it to link a driver or payment method.

2️⃣ From the Individual Vehicle View

✔ Select an object to access its detailed view.
✔ On this screen, you will find options to create precise assignments such as linking drivers, payment methods, or related objects.


How Assignments Affect Other Areas in Pulpo

Automatically Linked Events
✔ Recorded events like fuel consumption or expenses are automatically linked to the corresponding vehicle, driver, or payment method.
✔ However, Pulpo also allows manual adjustments to ensure accuracy.

Assignment History
✔ All assignments are saved in the activity history of the corresponding object, accessible from its individual view.
✔ This provides an organized and detailed record for audits and tracking.
