Role and Permission Configuration

Welcome to Pulpo’s Help Center! In this article, we explain how to configure roles and permissions on our platform so that each user has access only to the necessary features for their job.

In Pulpo, roles and permissions allow you to control who has access to different features and what actions they can perform. This ensures security and organization in managing your fleet.

✔ Go to the left-side panel and select User Management > Roles.

Pulpo offers various predefined user roles, such as:

✔ Administrator – Full access to all features and settings.
✔ Owner – Limited access to specific functions related to ownership.
✔ Driver – Restricted access only to daily operational tasks.
✔ Guest – View-only access or very limited functionality.

✔ Predefined Roles – Use one of the default roles if it meets your needs.
✔ Custom Role – If you need something more specific, create a new role tailored to your business requirements.

Define the actions that users assigned to this role can perform:

✔ View – Grants read-only access with no ability to modify or create content.
✔ Manage – Allows creation and deletion of content.
✔ Assign – Authorizes users to assign roles and permissions to others.
✔ Edit – Enables users to modify existing content.

✔ Once permissions are set, click the Save button to apply the settings.

✅ Review Regularly – Update roles and permissions based on your team's needs and business structure changes.
✅ Avoid Unnecessary Permissions – Grant access only to essential functionalities, improving security and efficiency.
✅ Create Custom Roles – If users have specific needs, a custom role may be the best option.
