Guide to Importing Information in Pulpo

Pulpo allows you to transfer your data in an organized and secure manner. In this article, we explain how to perform an import in five steps, ensuring that your business information is correctly integrated into the platform.


1. Select the Module

Imports are done through the Importer module, accessible from the left sidebar.

Choose the object to import: Select the type of data you want to import, such as vehicles, drivers, expenses, etc.
Download the import template: If you don't have a ready file, you can download a pre-configured Excel template from the platform. This includes:

  • Mandatory fields.

  • Specific formats required to ensure a successful import.
    Review the template instructions: Before continuing, make sure your data meets the necessary requirements.
    Access the tutorial: Pulpo provides a video tutorial within the platform to guide you through the import process.

2. Select the File

Upload the file you want to import by following these steps:

📌 Accepted formats: Pulpo accepts files in CSV or XLSX format.
📌 Maximum file size: The file must not exceed 30 MB.
📌 File upload: You can drag and drop the file into the platform or manually select it from your device.

3. Select Columns to Process

In this step, you will map your columns:

Match fields: Link Pulpo's fields with your file's columns to ensure data is assigned correctly.
Visual validation: Review whether the column data matches the designated fields.

4. Review the File and Configuration

Before importing, Pulpo will check for data consistency:

🔎 Error detection: The platform will flag potential issues, such as:

  • Missing mandatory fields.

  • Incorrect formats.

  • Unregistered catalog values.
    🔧 Fix issues: If any errors are detected, Pulpo will show the changes needed before continuing.
    Confirmation: Once issues are resolved, you can proceed to the next step.

5. Process the Data

Finally, Pulpo will process your data and integrate it into your account:

Final review: Make sure everything is accurate before confirming the import.
Successful import: Once processed, your data will be available on the platform.
Error handling: If any problems occur, Pulpo will display the error reasons so you can fix them.
