We've been listening to your feedback, and the good news is we've now brought Public Facebook Pages data into Topic searches.

This means from now on, within one dashboard, you can have a more holistic view of your search, across all the data sources Pulsar has to offer! So you can carry out your analysis all in one search allowing you to get more context.

Enabling Public Facebook Pages data in your search is easy. It's the same process as enabling other data sources. Simply go to the Details section during the search setup process, select Facebook and you're ready to go.

And once you've saved your search, Pulsar will start collecting data in realtime, from across 8 million Public Facebook Pages, where anyone is discussing your topic. The data we collect includes the following:

  • Any posts that match your query, published on Public Facebook Pages.

  • Number of Comments (we collect where possible, the comment_count), not the actual comments.

  • Number of Likes.

Historical data is also available for the past 30 days, with a preview historics feature available. However the historics volume preview is based on a simplified version of your query, which means the data we actually collect into your search and display in your results will be different to the volume preview you get when you preview your historics.

Lastly, if there are any Public Facebook Pages you need added, then don't hesitate to contact our support team and we can get these pages added to our index. We can't however get data from the following types of Facebook Pages:

  • private pages

  • event pages

  • country-restricted pages

  • groups
