Using the advanced option of the Sort Type provides you with more options to sort the products in your collection. In this article, we will go through the different Advanced Options of the following Sort Types:

Manual Sort

Once you manually sort a collection, you can then apply the same order to other collections that have a "Manually" sort option available.

1. Select Manually as your Sort Type from the Collection Detail page.

Pro tip: Use the search box and type the sort you want to use.

2. Head over to the Advanced Options section.

3. Select collections to apply the same order from the list.

4. Once done, click Apply.

5. If you want to update the collections right away in your Shopify admin, click this checkbox.

Product Tag A-Z/Product Tag Z-A

This Sort Option allows you to sort the products in your collection based on the tag(s) you've added. Up to 3 texts can be used, which lets the system identify which products will be sorted in the collection.

Note: If there's no text added, the system will automatically use the first tag in alphabetical order*.

*A - Z product order (using the first tag) if you picked Product Tag A-Z

*Z- A product order(using the first tag) if you picked Product Tag Z-A

1. Select Product Tag (A-Z or Z-A) from the Collection Detail page as your Sort Type.

Pro tip: Use the search box and add the sort type you want.

2. Head over to the Advanced Options section.

3. Type the text here and you can add up to 3 texts here. The texts will be used to select tags. For instance, if "kid" text is here, the system will select all tags containing "kid" text.

4. Once done, click the Save text(s) button.

5. This prompt confirms that the text will be used in your tag sorting. To close this popup, click Okay.

6. Click Save.

Pro tip: If you want to instantly sort your collection, click Sort Now.

New Inventory Added Date

This Sort Type lets you sort the products in your collection based on the number of new or restocked products you've added.

1. Select New inventory added date as your Sort Type from the Collection Detail page.

Pro tip: Use the search box and add the sort type you want.

2. Head over to the Advanced Options section.

3. Type the *value for the most recently added inventory > or =.

In this example, we typed the value of "10". The system will only consider them as new inventory. The sorting will push through if the current stock number exceeds or equals 10.

4. If you want to apply this condition to all your collections, click this checkbox.

That's it!
