About Pulseway Remote Control

Remote Control enables you to connect to all your monitored Windows systems and control any remote or console session. Connecting to the console session will allow you to take control of the computer as if you were sitting in front of it. On the other hand, if you connect to a Remote Desktop session you can assist users that are making use of the server resources through Remote Desktop (formerly known as Terminal Services). Also, while are you connected to the remote system you will be able to transfer files from and to the system to which are you connected.

Enabling Remote Control on your systems

In order to enable the Pulseway RD connection to the system you will need to configure the following options in the "Server Admin > Policies > System > Remote Desktop" section.

You can also configure this setting on the Pulseway Agent itself. However, the Web App Policy settings (if applied to the same machine) will always take precedence over the individual agent settings.

Also, Policies are naturally more convenient for applying such monitoring rules, as they can be applied to multiple machines simultaneously.

To configure this setting on the Agent, go to the "System > Remote Control" tab.

Tick the “Enable Remote Desktop” check box. And then click “Apply” button at the
bottom of the agent to save the settings.

Downloading the Remote Desktop Client

Go to https://www.pulseway.com/downloads, click the “Desktop Apps” tab and download the appropriate “Remote Desktop Client”.

Open up the Remote Desktop Client on your computer. From the Client you will be able to see all systems that have Remote Desktop enabled.
