1. Create Backup template

In order to start with Cloud backup you will need to create the 'Backup Template' from the Pulseway WebApp -> Clod Backup -> Backup templates section -> New.

Once that is done, then you will need to give a name for this template (step 1) and configure the paths for the folders and files which you want to backup (steps 2 to 5).

And once all the required paths for the folders and exclusions are added for this backup job, then please save it (step 6).

Note: I f the backup template is updated, then these changes will be applied to all backup jobs which are using this template. This gives the option to centrally manage backup jobs for the group of systems.

2. Create Backup Job

Once template is created, then the next step is to create the backup job from the Pulseway WebApp -> Clod Backup -> Backup Jobs section -> Schedule Backup.

To create it you will need to complete 3 steps:

1. Give the name for the Backup job and select the Backup Template which will be used for this backup job.

2. In this step you will need to select the Organization from the left-hand side and then from the right-hand side you will need to select which organizations you want to add to this backup job. And once that is done, then you will need to repeat this process for all required Sites and Groups select the site/group from the right-hand side and then add required sub-elements.

3. Step is to configure the frequency for the backup, set up the conditions for the backup status (health) and configure the notifications for it. As soon as the backup job is created, then our system will start provisioning the backup agent and backup will be initiated as soon as possible.

At the bottom of all these screens, you can see the step navigator, which will indicate if all required input is provided in each of these forms (please see the image below). If any of these steps indicate a red exclamation mark, then it means that there is an error in that form.

And once you hover over the health score for the backup job, then you will see how many systems were backed up in each time period ( less than one day ago, between 2 and 3 days, more than 3 days ago).

And the system count for pending systems indicates the count of systems which never were backed up or they are offline.
