Before we begin managing iOS devices with Pulsus, it is necessary to configure the APNs certificate in the environment.
The APNs certificate is the key that allows Pulsus to communicate securely and authorizedly with Apple's servers to send essential commands and notifications to your managed iOS devices. It's what makes remote management possible and efficient. To configure it, you must perform the following actions:
1. Go to the menu Apple > Integrations;
2. Download the certificate pulsus.certSignRequest by clicking the button "Download";
3. Access the website https://identity.apple.com/pushcert/ ;
4. Enter the credentials Apple ID and Password and start the session;
5. Click the button Create a Certificate;
6. Accept the Terms of Use:
7. Click the button Browse. Select the file pulsus.certSignRequest (downloaded in step 2) and click the button Upload;
8. After uploading an Apple certificate will be generated. Click the Download button to download the certificate;
9. Return to the environment in menu iOS > Certificates and upload the Apple certificate by clicking the button Send Apple Certificate File;
10. After completing the upload the display informing the Name, Serial, Provider and Expiration will be shown. It is important not to allow the certificate to expire and, if this occurs, the device will have to be provisioned again.
Note: For item 4, we suggest that a company’s Apple ID be used. If necessary, you can also use more than one certificate for the same Apple ID.
To enable the device, follow the guidelines of this article.
