Private Mode on Punt

Learn how Private Mode works on Punt, what it does, and how to hide your username and identity from other players on supported public and social features.

Written by Alexa

Private Mode gives you more control over how your identity appears to other players across Punt.

What happens when I enable Private Mode?

When Private Mode is enabled, your username or identity is hidden or anonymized on supported public and social areas of Punt.

For example:

  • On leaderboards and races, your position can still appear, but your name will display as Anonymous.

  • On public activity feeds, your gameplay activity may still appear without your username or identifying information attached.

  • Your account will not appear on supported referral or affiliate lists.

Does Private Mode affect my account or gameplay?

No. Private Mode only changes how your identity is displayed to other players.

You can continue to play and use your Punt account normally, and you'll still be able to see your own account activity and history.

Private Mode does not delete or remove previous account activity.

How do I turn Private Mode on or off?

Go to your Profile Settings and locate the Privacy option. From there, you can toggle Private Mode on or off.

Your preference is saved immediately, with no additional approval required.

What if my username is still visible?

Private Mode is designed to anonymize your identity on supported public and social areas of Punt. If you notice your username or identity appearing somewhere you believe it shouldn't after enabling Private Mode, please contact our Support team and let us know where you're seeing it. We'll be happy to look into it.
