How to configure Dedicated/ DDOS IP on Linux

Linux users can now have a fixed Dedicated IP for their use. Here's how to proceed.

Please follow the step-by-step guide to setup PureVPN Dedicated IP Add-on on

  • Select the following options:

  1. Click Network Connection Icon

  2. Go to VPN Connections and select Configure VPN.

  • Click Add

  • Click drop down menu.

  • Select Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) and click Create.

  • Select the following options:

  1. Insert Connection name: PureVPN PPTP

    1. Insert your PureVPN Dedicated IP Hostname in Gateway

    2. Insert your VPN Credentials as provided by PureVPN. (For further instructions on how to check your active VPN Credentials click here.)

    3. Click Advanced

  • Select the following options:

  1. Use Point-to-Point encryption (MPPE)

    1. Allow BSD data compression

    2. Allow Deflate data compression

    3. Use TCP header compression

    4. Uncheck EAP

    5. Click OK

  • Click Save and close the Network Connections window.

  • Select the following options:

  1. Click Network Connection Icon

    1. Go to VPN Connections and select newly created PureVPN PPTP connection

  • You are successfully connected now. Enjoy the FREEDOM!!!!!!!

  • Select the following options:

  • To disconnect VPN. Click Network Connection Icon

  • Go to VPN Connections and select Disconnect VPN
