☣️ Sharps & Biohazardous Waste (UN3291)

  • USPS (Mail-Back): Allowed with DOT-compliant packaging and labeling (UN3291).

  • Licensed Medical Waste Haulers: Required for bulk pickup; must follow DOT and state regulations.


💉 Pharmaceutical Waste

Non-Hazardous, Non-Controlled

  • FedEx, UPS, USPS: Permitted if not classified as hazardous or controlled.

  • Mail-Back Programs: Acceptable when using approved systems.

Hazardous Pharmaceuticals (RCRA)

  • No mail back currently from PureWay only schedule pickup - contact customers support for pricing options

  • EPA-Registered Hazardous Waste Transporters: Required.

  • Manifests & DOT Labels: Mandatory per 40 CFR and 49 CFR.

Controlled Substances (DEA-Regulated)

  • RP Returns DEA-Registered Reverse Distributors UPS/FedEx: Must handle transport.

  • Secure Packaging: Tamper-evident, with tracking.

  • USPS Not Allowed (except in limited DEA-approved cases).
