Overview
Some patients use empty household detergent bottles as a temporary means of storing used needles, syringes, and other sharps. While not a compliant long-term solution, these bottles can be safely transported and disposed of using PureWay’s 8-Gallon Disposal by Mail Collection Bin.
This document outlines the guidelines for the number of full detergent bottles that can be placed into the bin, and explains why using the PureWay system ensures safe and compliant disposal.
