Trace Chemotherapy refers to waste containing less than 3% of the total waste. This includes items such as:

However, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as towels, wipes, and pads that may come into contact with chemotherapy drugs, must also be disposed of properly. Additionally, all sharps should be placed in a separate sharps container before being added to this disposal system.
Note: Loose sharps are not allowed in this system. All sharps must be placed in an OSHA-approved sharps container (or an equivalent container) before shipping.
