How is Jump Height Calculated?

The following jump tests are available in the PUSH Pro application:

  • CMJ - Arms Fixed

  • CMJ - Arms Swing

  • Squat Jump

Jump Height (cm or in) is derived from 9.81/8*FLIGHT TIME^2.

NOTE: To perform the tests the user must utilize the PUSH Waist Belt in order to receive the most accurate and reliable readings.

How to Conduct a CMJ Test

The process for conducting a test will be the same, regardless of which of the previously mentioned jump test you choose to perform.

To begin, select the menu icon in the top left-hand corner.

Next select 'Tests'.

Select the jump test you would like to conduct.

Select 'Begin' to start the test.

A 'Collecting' screen will appear and the light on the PUSH Band will turn green indicating data collection has begun.

NOTE: Once the test has begun, a user can perform as many jump repetitions in whatever cadence they prefer.

To end the test, press the power button on the PUSH Band or select 'End'.

You will now be redirected to 'Summary' revealing the top recorded jump height as well as the Peak Velocity and Peak Power for each jump.

NOTE: The repetition highlighted in blue is the corresponding repetition in which the top recorded jump height occurred.

Select "Analytics" view rep-to-rep average and peak velocity as well as power outputs.

Select 'Finish' to save the results or 'Test Again' to re-test.

NOTE: Use the question mark icon on the test page to review the test parameters and instructional video.
