Why reminders matter

Reminders help you:

  • Reduce manual follow-ups

  • Support managers without micromanaging

  • Keep important moments moving forward

  • Deliver consistent, timely nudges at scale

Best of all, they free up your time—while still showing up for people when it matters.

How Reminders work

For messages with reminders:

  • If a recipient does not click on the link or button in an email or Slack message, they will receive the message again.

  • The message will appear the same as the original.

  • The message will send at the same time of day as the original message was sent.

  • If you set multiple Reminders, no Reminders will be sent after the recipient has clicked on the button or link within the email or Slack.

How to add a Reminder to your message

Step 1: Create or open your message

Start by navigating to Flows and either:

  • Create a new flow, or

  • Open an existing flow where you want to add a reminder

Select the message you want to send. This can be an email or Slack message.

💡 Tip: Reminders work best for messages that ask someone to do something, like completing a review, preparing for a meeting, or checking in with a direct report.

Step 2: Turn on reminders

Within the message settings, look for the Reminders tab. This will only be active if your message has a link or action button.

Once enabled, you’ll see options to customize when the reminder is sent relative to the initial message.

Next, decide when the reminder should go out. You can set it relative to the original message, for example:

  • A few days after the message is sent

  • One week later

This ensures reminders are timely and relevant, without feeling spammy.

Step 3: Review and save

Before you publish the flow:

  • Double-check the reminder timing

  • Confirm the audience

  • Make sure the message still feels helpful and human

Once saved, Pyn takes it from there—sending reminders automatically so nothing falls through the cracks.

💡 Use sparingly: One thoughtful reminder is often enough
