The instructions below are for Pyn 2. If you are using Pyn 1 (Classic) click here

In Pyn 2, you can embed a YouTube video into any message step by pasting the shareable URL directly into the editor canvas, where it instantly converts into an embedded player.

1. How Video Embedding Works in Pyn 2

  • Direct Canvas Embedding: In Pyn 2, there is no need to create separate "long message" layouts or toggle between add-ons. Pasting a valid video link directly into your body text immediately renders the responsive video player inline.

2. Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Copy Your YouTube Video URL

    • On YouTube, navigate to the video you want to share.

    • Click Share and copy the standard video link

  2. Open the Flow Step Editor

    • From the left navigation menu, go to Flows and select the automation flow you wish to update.

    • Click on the specific message step to open the configuration panel or editor on the right.

  3. Paste the Link into the Message Body

    • Click into the text area where you want the video to appear.

    • Paste the copied URL (Ctrl + V on Windows or Cmd + V on Mac).

    • The editor will automatically detect the YouTube link and convert it into an inline playable video block.

  4. Preview and Test

    • In the bottom formatting toolbar, click the eye icon (Preview).

    • Preview how the video renders across desktop and mobile views.

  5. Publish Your Flow

    • Once you are satisfied with the layout, click Publish in the top-right corner to save and activate the updated step across your flow.
