How to use Filters

Filtering your map allows you to look at a specific view based on the available properties. You can add as many filters per property as you like in order to get your desired customized view.

Most of the filters are based on Touchpoint properties. In order to use filters successfully, these properties need to be filled in with options.

Below you can see that all of the properties in this Touchpoint have been assigned a tag or owner. Once you’ve filled in the properties for all of your Touchpoints, you can filter by one or more options.

The available filters are aligned with the properties, so if you change the name of a property, it will carry through to the filter name. For example, if you change “Current State” to “Status,” there will be a filter called “Status.” Please note that you currently cannot add a new property (coming soon!) but you can edit the name. You can also edit or add tag options and change tag colors.

Within your map, you can add one or multiple filters by Category, Owner, Team Responsible, Level of Effort, Priority, Recommended for Company Size, and Current State.

For example, if you wanted to focus on improving the high priority moments in the Onboarding experience, you can filter with the following:

  • Category: Onboarding

  • Priority: High

  • Current State: Needs Improvement and/or We don’t have this yet

In this example, for Priority and Current State, these are properties you would need to have added to your Touchpoints in order to then be able to use them as filters. The Category is pre-determined by the Employee Journey Designer.

Here is what your filtered map would look like.

How to use Theme

In addition to filtering, you can select which properties to show on the Touchpoint card by clicking the “Theme” button in the navigation bar and opening the “Property shown on card” menu. Currently, you can select a maximum of two properties to show.

In this example, you can see we have opened up the “Theme” menu, and within the “Property shown on card” menu, we’ve selected to show the “Current State” and “Team Responsible” tags on the card. Additionally, we’ve filtered to only show the selection “We have this” under Current State and “Talent Acquisition” and “People Operations” as the Team Responsible.
