If your Pyramid upgrade fails to install, your Pyramid device may boot into Safe Mode to allow you to complete the update.

If this happens, follow the instructions on the video (above) which have also been detailed below:

Part 1: Set Up Pyramid SafeMode

  • Step 1: Connect to Safe Mode

  • Step 2: Follow Set Up Process as Normal until you get to the activation screen

  • Step 3: Do not activate, instead follow instructions for part 2 below

Part 2 : Turn on Public WiFi Mode

  • Step 1: Tap on ‘Menu’ > ‘Connection Info’

  • Step 2: Tap on ‘Public WiFi Mode’

  • Step 3: Tap on ‘Turn on Public WiFi Mode’ (a loading screen may appear for around 30 seconds)

  • Step 4: When you see the ‘Important Step’ screen tap on the button that says ‘Proceed'

  • Step 5: On the next screen, tap ‘Secure Later’ - note: it must be 'Secure Later', secure now will not allow you to update!

Part 3: Install Update

  • Step 1: You should now see an update available popup, tap on ‘Let’s do it’

  • Step 2: Tap on ‘Download Update’ then wait around 60 seconds to give enough download time

  • Step 3: Tap on ‘Download Update’ again, this time you should be able to select ‘Install Update’

  • Step 4: Important - *Do Not Power Off* - Wait at least 5 minutes for the update to install

  • Step 5: You should now see Pyramid 022 in WiFi Settings - connect using password OnlineFreedom1

  • Step 6: You should now return to your browser (e.g Chrome or Safari) and visit 192.168.8.1 to complete set up on your freshly updated device
