Add, import or edit chart data
Manually enter data by typing, importing or copy-pasting from an external spreadsheet into any basic table or chart in your Venngage design.

Available on the following Venngage subscription plans: Free, Premium, Business and Enterprise.

Select the chart you want to edit.

Open the Edit Chart pane, by double-clicking the chart or selecting the chart and clicking the "Edit Chart" button in the top toolbar.

Add chart data by typing data into a cell in the chart spreadsheet under the "Data" tab.

Under this tab, icons of available chart types are visible. The bottom part of the tab displays a spreadsheet with data columns and rows. Each row has a color icon to indicate the color of the corresponding part of the chart. In the top right-hand corner of the Chart Menu Cancel and Save buttons appear.

Copy data from an external spreadsheet like Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel and use CTRL+V or CMD+V to paste values into the chart spreadsheet.

Edit data in the same way; open the Chart Menu pane and modify the values in any cell in the chart spreadsheet.

The user clicks into one of the cells in the spreadsheet and changes the number, which is reflected in the first bar of the chart on the design canvas. The user repeats this in the second cell of the spreadsheet and the number and length of the second bar in the chart changes.

The data in your chart will preview automatically on the design canvas.

Click Save to make the changes to your chart or Cancel to exit the Edit Chart pane without making the changes.

Import data from an external spreadsheet into a chart in your Venngage design

Save any *.xlsx or *.csv format spreadsheet to your personal device and import it into a chart spreadsheet in the Venngage Editor.

Select your chart; open the Edit Chart pane by double-clicking the chart or selecting the chart and clicking the "Edit Chart" button in the top toolbar.

Click "Import" to open the modal (box) and choose the *.xlsx or *.csv spreadsheet file you want to import into the chart spreadsheet.

Double-click on the file or click "OK"; a modal will appear over the canvas when the import is complete. Click "Close" to continue.

The user clicks "Close" at the bottom of that modal, and the new data appears in the chart spreadsheet in the Chart Menu pane. The user clicks "Save" in the Chart Menu and the pane closes; the updates to the chart are saved on the design canvas.

Click Save in the Chart Menu to save the imported data in your chart.

Change the chart colors from the spreadsheet in the Chart Menu or switch to the Settings tab for more chart styling options.
