You can connect to your QuantVPS from any Mac computer using the Windows App by Microsoft — a newer and more compatible version of the classic Remote Desktop app.
Note: We now recommend using the Windows App, not the older "Microsoft Remote Desktop" app. You can find it in the Mac App Store under the name Windows App by Microsoft.
Step #1: Download the Windows App
Open the Mac App Store.
Search for "Windows App" by Microsoft.
Download and install it on your Mac.
Step #2: Open the Windows App
Go to your Applications folder or Launchpad, then open Windows App.
Step #3: Add a New PC
Click the "+" icon or "Add PC" to create a new connection profile.
Step #4: Enter Your VPS IP Address
In the "PC Name" field, enter your VPS IP address.
This can be found in your QuantVPS Control Panel.
You may optionally enter a friendly name like "My Trading VPS" to make it easier to identify.
Step #5: Add Your User Account
Next to "User Account", click the dropdown and choose "Add User Account."
Enter your Username (usually Administrator) and your Password — both available in your QuantVPS Control Panel.
Click Add to save your credentials.
Step #6: Save Your Connection
Back in the "Add PC" screen, click "Add" in the bottom right corner to save your settings.
Step #7: Connect to Your VPS
Click on your new VPS tile to initiate the connection.
You'll now be logged in to your QuantVPS server, just like a regular Windows desktop.
After Connecting
Once you're connected:
Open Firefox (pre-installed on your VPS).
Download and install your preferred trading platform, like NinjaTrader or MetaTrader.
Log in and begin configuring your setup.
Adjusting Your Display Resolution (Optional)
If you want to change how your VPS appears on your screen:
Open the Windows App but don't launch your VPS yet.
Click the Edit (pencil icon) next to your VPS connection.
Go to the Display tab.
Set the resolution to Custom and enter your preferred size (e.g., 1920 x 1080).
Click Save, then reconnect.

Double-check your IP address, username, and password.
Confirm you've downloaded the correct app — Windows App by Microsoft.
