Currently, college coaches (scouts) must find players via website searches, social media, and word of mouth. They must plan what tournaments to attend and what games to watch. In addition, scouts may just pick the same tournaments to attend and the same baseball programs to follow with the hope of discovering players throughout tournament play.

Based on our communications with many college coaches, there is a reoccurring theme they tell us. First, they get hundreds upon hundreds of emails from players and coaches in their inbox over the course of a season and the chance that an email is opened is slim. Therefore, it is guaranteed that they can miss out on a few potential prospects for their program. Second, they subscribe to the bod tournament/showcase company websites for seeking players, but the tools are limited.

Since the QuestFit Athlete Toolbox (ATB) is a single location for a player to store ALL their performance results from multiple sources, it allows scouts to preplan their scout outings to target specific players via a rich set of scout tools QuestFit provides in the Scout Toolbox (STB). In addition, with the in-App Prospect Mail service (pMail), a player’s QScore plays an important role when a coach is sending out a Prospect Report (PR) to a particular school or when a player sends out their Prospect Profile Report (PPR) to a college’s scouting staff. Our algorithm determines what pMail gets filtered in the foreground versus in the general inbox so when a scout has a message in their preferred inbox, they know they should open it to view the details of the player or players in the report. It is also important that players target the proper schools that fit both stakeholders, the player, and the program.
