The Spin metric must be off the mound from the wind-up or stretch position.
If both the Fastball and the Breaking Ball spin rate metric are to be submitted they must be submitted in separate video upload requests via the QuestFit App.
The catcher must receive the pitch in the video. If it is an uncatchable pitch the metric will not be considered valid.
Acceptable spin detection equipment:
Rapsodo Pitching Monitor (If the athlete adheres to the introduction requirements, then the system can be in “Guest Mode.”)
Trackman Flight Monitor (If the athlete adheres to the introduction requirements, then the system can be in “Guest Mode.”)
Stalker or equivalent radar gun with Spin detection.
Follow the camera angles shown below (equipment position is dependent on the device being used to detect spin rate). The readout must be included inside the video.
The General Guidelines for Pitcher Throwing Metrics must be followed.
