Quidd strives to create a safe, inclusive, and empowered place for collectors to collect.

  • Safe: community members are welcomed and treated with respect.

  • Inclusive: community members can be themselves.

  • Empowered: community members have the power to control their collections and shape the community.

Delivering a safe, inclusive, and empowered experience is a shared responsibility between Quidd and the community. In simple terms, it is up to collectors, in part, to foster this experience.

So, in simple terms: respect everyone. Don't spam. Don't bully. Don't post offensive or inappropriate content. But do be yourself and do collect the way you want.

Why update Community Policy in 2022?

Quidd unites a diverse community of collectors, spanning countries, cultures, languages, ages, beliefs, and fandoms that has come together out of a shared love of collecting.

Over the years, Quidd itself has been very diverse, evolving the functionality of its marketplace to reflect the changing times with digital collectibles and the underlying technology that powers your collecting experience.

In order to bring Quidd's approach to community management inline with "the times", the team is refreshing and publishing new and updated guidelines. The current guidelines stand on the shoulders of older versions, particularly in their application to functionality that involves user-generated content.

But, this latest version evolves the team's approach to reflect the new reality of digital collecting in 2022. These new developments include:

  • NFTs: the rise of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and the application of blockchain technology to provide for greater permanence of owned digital collectibles

  • Minting: the development of technical gateways enabling Quidd collectors to migrate their off-chain collectibles on-chain, to their chain of choice

  • Off-Site Communications: the rapid adoption of third-party services, like Discord, used to connect, communicate, and negotiate with fellow community members

  • Value Appreciation: the increase in value of off-chain digital collectibles on Quidd, either as non-mintables, mintables, or post-minted NFTs, as pegged in USD through actual sales recorded in Quidd's aftermarket

The evolution of Quidd is not unlike the evolution of traditional physical baseball cards: a fun activity for fans matures into a hobby for fans, collectors, and even investors.

What was once meant for bike spokes is now meant for a bank's safety deposit box.

The 2022 Community Policies have been updated to reflect this over-arching change.

And finally, by using Quidd, you agree to not only comply with our 2022 Community Policies but to our Terms of Service.
