This feature provides clear, contextual breakdowns of how each deal’s earnings were calculated, including plain-language explanations and step-by-step math.
The Earnings Explanation provides the key details behind each deal’s calculation, including:
Total earnings
Deal value
Attainment
Applied rate
Qualifying component
Applicable attainment tier(s) or threshold(s)

How to view earnings explanation from Earnings page
Access the Earnings Explanations on the Earnings page in the Closed/Won table by hovering over the earnings amount and clicking the circled i icon:
Or by clicking in the three-dot menu on the right and selecting "Earnings Summary":
The earnings explanation will then open in a side panel:
How to view earnings explanation from Deals page
To view the earnings explanation on the Deals page, you can hover over the earnings amount and click the circled i icon:
Additionally, if you click the 3-dot/kabob menu on the right, you can select the option to view the "Earnings Summary":
How to view earnings explanation from Deal Details page
To access the earnings explanations on the Deal Details page, click "View earnings explanation" in the top right of the page on the Earnings card.
The earnings explanation will then open in a side panel:
Summary
The Earnings Explanation shows how each component contributes to a deal’s final earnings. Open it from the Earnings page, Deals page, or Deal Details page, then review the deal value, applied rate or tier, and calculation math. If the result appears outdated, allow earnings recalculation to finish and refresh the page.
