To help you quickly get started with QuotaPath, we offer a template library of some common and effective comp plans. The Commission with Accelerators plan can be found under Sales Representative Plans.

A Commission with Accelerators plan is commonly used by Account Executives, Enterprise Account Executives, Senior Account Executives, Sales Executives, and Sales Reps.

Oftentimes, plans have accelerators where a rep earns a higher commission percentage if they overachieve their quota.

A few examples

Below are a few examples of how this plan could be applied in a variety of industries and goods sold.

An Account Executive has a monthly quota of $33,000 ARR and earns a 10% commission of deals they close until they hit quota and 20% commission thereafter.

An IT Sales Rep has a hardware quota of $100,000 of revenue a quarter and earns 6% of deals they close. Once quota is hit, they earn 8% commission of everything they sell.

An Insurance Rep has a resale quota of $20,000 of health plans per month and earns 0% of the premium of plans sold until they hit 50% quota, then 10% until they hit 100% of quota, then 15% once they exceed 100% of quota.

Under 50% quota attainment: 5% on all deals closed
50-100% quota attainment: 10% on all deals closed
100-150% quota attainment: 12% on all deals closed
150+% quota attainment: 15% on all deals closed
