To help you quickly get started with QuotaPath, we offer a template library of some common and effective comp plans. The Retention-based Bonus plan can be found under Account Management & Customer Success Plans.

A Retention-based Bonus plan is commonly used by Account Managers, Account Supervisors, Client Managers, and Customer Success Managers.

Plan insights

Some AMs are given a bonus depending on their revenue retention percentage.

A few examples

An Account Manager has a monthly retention quota of $33,000 ARR and earns a $33 bonus every quota percent they attain.

An IT Relationship Manager has a hardware quota of $100,000 of revenue to existing customers per quarter and earns a $60 bonus per quota percentage point they achieve.

An Insurance Contract Manager has a renewal quota of $20,000 of health insurance plans per month and earns a $27.50 bonus for each quota percentage they attain from 0-100%.

Plan Name: Retention-based Bonus
โ€‹Quota: $300,000 in net revenue per quarter
โ€‹Commission Rate:

0% - 80% quota attainment = $83.33

80% - 100% quota attainment = $100

100% - 150% quota attainment = $120

150% quota attainment = $140
