QuotaPath's integration with Snowflake allows you to easily import data from a Snowflake entity (warehouse, database, schema, user, and role) to use in QuotaPath to calculate commissions or inform payouts eligibility. In this article, we'll cover the requirements to set up this integration and provide step-by-step instructions.
Integration Requirements
Before connecting Snowflake to your QuotaPath workspace, you'll need to obtain the below information.
User Name: The username for the Snowflake user you created.
Password: The password for the Snowflake user you created.
Warehouse: The warehouse you created for QuotaPath to access data.
Database: The database you created for QuotaPath to access data.
Role: The role you created for QuotaPath to access Snowflake.
Account Name: The host domain of the Snowflake instance (must include the account, region, cloud environment, and end with snowflakecomputing.com).
Once you have the above information, you're ready to connect Snowflake to your QuotaPath workspace!
How to connect Snowflake
To connect Snowflake to your QuotaPath workspace, click Settings in the main app navigation, and then Integrations. Find the Snowflake integration card and click ‘Connect’.
Integration Source Form
Enter the above information into the integration source form shown below and click 'Submit' when complete.
After receiving the confirmation that the integration has been successfully connected, click 'Next' to proceed.
Sync Schedule
At the top of the following screen, use the dropdown selector to set the sync frequency. In addition to these scheduled syncs, you'll always have the option to click 'Sync Now' on the Snowflake integration card on the 'Integrations' page to trigger a manual sync.
Objects
Next, select the objects (or the data name in the Snowflake schema) that you'd like to import into your QuotaPath workspace.
When complete, click ‘Sync now’ to begin importing data into your QuotaPath workspace. This could take a few minutes so feel free to close the modal and navigate back to Home to complete any outstanding onboarding tasks. We will send you an email once your integration is ready to use.
