Learn how to setup HubSpot App Cards

QuotaPath customers using HubSpot Sales Hub as their CRM can set up App Cards to view commission data directly in HubSpot. By setting up QuotaPath's HubSpot App Cards, you'll be able to:

  • View an overview of all deal earnings on a HubSpot record

  • View details on exactly who earned what on a HubSpot record

  • Allow admins to take actions like override earnings, approve deals, and flag deals

  • Allow reps to take actions like forecast potential earnings and flag earnings

  • View forecasted earnings in HubSpot Forecasting to empower more effective pipe-reviews

In this article, we'll provide detailed instructions for how to set up and use QuotaPath's HubSpot App Cards. Continue reading below an overview of integration requirements, supported features, installation instructions, feature overviews, and more.

Requirements

  • QuotaPath's HubSpot App Cards are available to any QuotaPath customer, including Essential, Growth and Premium subscription tiers.

  • QuotaPath customers must have the HubSpot Integration connected to their workspace and mapped to their compensation plans.

  • QuotaPath's HubSpot App Cards are included as part of QuotaPath's HubSpot integration, but must be added to the Deal record layout(s) to start viewing earnings data.

  • Earnings must be calculated off of properties on the Deal record (i.e. Account executive or managers compensated on 'Closed Won' deals, or sales development representatives compensated on created or qualified deals)

Supported Features

QuotaPath's HubSpot App Cards provide the following features directly in HubSpot:

  • Earnings Overview: Total Earnings, Total Forecasted Earnings, Approved Earnings, Total Earners, Record Count

  • Earnings Detail: Record Name, Record Owner, Earnings Amount, QuotaPath Stage, Earnings Date, Plan, Path

  • Earnings Preview: Approval Status, Earnings Calculation, Deal History

  • Deal Actions: Flag, Approve & Override (Admin only)

  • Forecast Additional Deals: Multi-Deal Select, Forecasted Earnings by Deal

User Permissions

Depending on both the user's QuotaPath workspace role and HubSpot permission sets, certain features may or may not be available, or views may be different. For a detailed overview on how permissions work with QuotaPath's HubSpot App Cards, please review the table below:

How to Set Up App Cards

In order to set up QuotaPath's HubSpot App Cards, please follow the steps below:

Install QuotaPath's HubSpot Integration

From your QuotaPath workspace, go to the Integrations page and click 'Connect' on to the HubSpot integration card. After setting up the integration, you'll have access to QuotaPath's HubSpot App Cards. For more detailed instructions on setting up the integration, please visit this article.

Plans Mapped to HubSpot Integration

In order to preview data as you set up QuotaPath's HubSpot App Cards, your QuotaPath workspace will need to be populated with commission data by setting up compensation plans and mapping the plans to the corresponding source data in HubSpot.

Add App Cards to Deal Record Middle Column

After your QuotaPath workspace has been set up, you'll need to add QuotaPath's HubSpot App Cards to your Deal record middle column layout in HubSpot in order to start viewing earnings data.

  1. Click the QuotaPath app from Connected Apps in your HubSpot Settings:

  2. Select the 'App cards' tab, and click the 'Add to deal' link from either of the Record Middle Column cards:

  3. In the Record Customization tab, click the view name to edit the layout:

  4. In the layout edit view, click to add cards to the middle column layout:

    1. Note: You can add cards to either the 'Overview' tab, or you can even create a custom tab for QuotaPath earnings data!

  5. Select both the 'Earnings Overview' and 'Earnings Detail' cards to add to the layout:

  6. Customize the middle column layout and save when complete:

  7. Confirm the cards have been added to the Deal record layout:

Add App Cards to Deal Record Preview Sidebar Layout

After you've added the App Cards to the Deal record middle column layout, you'll also need to add QuotaPath's HubSpot App Cards to the Deal record preview sidebar layout.

  1. Go back to the QuotaPath app from Connected Apps in your HubSpot Settings:

  2. Select the 'App cards' tab, and click the 'Add to deal' link from either of the Record Preview Sidebar cards:

  3. In the Preview Customization tab, click the view name to edit the layout:

  4. In the layout edit view, click to add cards to the layout & select both the 'QuotaPath Earnings Details' and 'QuotaPath Earnings Overview' cards:

  5. Customize the record layout and save when complete. Confirm the cards have been added to the Deal record layout:

Earnings Overview Deal Card

From a Deal record, you can view the Earnings Overview card for a quick snapshot of the following earnings information and take the following actions:

  1. Total forecasted earnings - sum of forecasted earnings

  2. Current earnings - sum of closed won earnings

  3. Approved earnings - sum of approved earnings

  4. Total number of earners

  5. Total number of records

  6. Forecast Additional Deals - opens Forecast Additional Deals sidebar

Earnings Detail Deal Card

From a Deal record, you can view the Earnings Detail card for a detailed view of each individual earnings record associated with that HubSpot Deal. In the table, you'll view the following information and take the following actions for each earnings record:

  1. Deal name - name of the record in QuotaPath

  2. Deal actions - opens Actions menu

  3. Deal owner - owner of the record in QuotaPath

  4. Earnings amount - QuotaPath earnings amount

  5. QuotaPath stage - stage of the record in QuotaPath

  6. Plan component - name of the related compensation plan component

  7. Earnings date - date of the record in QuotaPath

  8. View in QuotaPath - redirect to the QuotaPath deal details card

Deal Preview Card

In the Deal record preview sidebar, you'll be able to view the following information:

  1. Earnings Overview - overview of all earnings on Deal record

  2. Earnings Detail - detailed overview of all earnings record on Deal record

  3. Forecast Additional Deals - opens the Forecast Additional Details sidebar

Deal Actions

From the Earnings Detail card on the Deal record, you can click Actions to take the following additional actions:

  1. Flag - opens earnings flagging sidebar

  2. Approve - opens earnings approval sidebar

  3. Override (Admins only) - opens earnings override sidebar

  4. View in QuotaPath - redirect to the QuotaPath deal details card

  5. Preview - opens earnings record sidebar with additional earnings detail and deal history

Forecast Additional Deals

From the Earnings Overview card on either the Deal record or the Deal preview record, click 'Forecast Additional Deals' in order to select additional deals to view potential earnings on multiple deal records:
