A guide to adding and managing relationships within the Accelerate platform, including details on button functions and related articles.

Adding a Relationship

If your website has been configured to add relationships through the Accelerate API then any enquiries from your website will automatically create or update a relationship. If you receive a lead over the phone you will have to add them manually.

To add a relationship,

Click the ‘Relationships’ button on the side menu bar, and the following menu will be displayed:

Click ‘Add Relationship' at the top right of the 'Relationships’ dropdown:

Complete as many fields as you can. Alternatively, if you are creating a corporate relationship you can simply enter their company number and Accelerate will add in all the information you need:

Note: There are different relationship types that can be chosen, ranging from ‘private individual’ to 'Government Body'.

Once you're done, simply click the ‘Save' button. Then your relationship will appear in the 'Relationships’ dropdown:


Buttons and their functions

Along the top of the Relationship record there are a number of buttons which have the following functions:

Novate Contract(s)

To novate contract(s) from one Relationship to another, this can be done by using this button

Exclude Auto Contact

If you would like to stop a Relationship from receiving the automated communication from Accelerate, this will exclude them from this.

MP

Marketing Permissions for a customer can be set through this button. If you are utilising the Mailchimp Integration these details will be pushed over the integration

Merge

If you find you have two Relationships for the same individual or business, you can Merge the records to avoid duplicate records and streamline your reporting

Grant System Access

If you are utilising the Fleet Management functionality within Accelerate, you could grant a Contact on a Relationship access to Accelerate, this is read-only access and allows users to view Quotes, Orders and Contracts relating to their business

View/Add Notes

Notes can be stored against all record types within Accelerate, the Notes for Relationships can be found by using this button

View/Edit Groups

Relationships can be grouped together, for example if you have various business Relationships who are part of a group or conglomerate, details of any groupings that has happened in Accelerate can be found using this button

Verify

This functionality allows a password to be created to enable you to verify that you are speaking with the correct Relationship over the phone

Underneath the Relationship Details, there are a number of buttons which have the following functions:

Add a Driver’s details onto the Relationship

Add a Vehicles details to the Relationship

Add Fleet Pol.

Add a Fleet Policy to the Relationship (only applicable for those using Fleet Management functionality)

Add Fuel Pol.

Add a Fuel Policy to the Relationship (only applicable for those using Fleet Management functionality)

Add Crd Line

Add a Credit Line to the Relationship

Add Doc

Upload a Document relating to this Relationship

Add Rel. Link

If you have links between Relationships you can group them together by using this button

Online Proposal

Launch the Online Proposal site to complete finance proposal information for this Relationship

Add Case

Add a compliance Case for this Relationship
