Coverage Alerts
When a reporter uploads their finished piece to Qwoted, our system automatically sends an email to everyone who pitched on that request. That email includes a link to the article so you can see whether you or your client made it in.
That said, not every reporter uploads their story to Qwoted after it publishes, which means some coverage notifications can slip through. To make sure you're not missing mentions, we strongly recommend setting up Google Alerts as a backup. It takes just a few minutes and keeps you covered regardless of what the reporter does. Here's a step-by-step guide to get that set up.
A Note on Reporter Follow-Up
Reporters aren't required to let you know whether they used your pitch. By submitting, you're giving consent to be featured, but there's no obligation on their end to confirm. Some journalists will reach out to let you know, and some won't. It really varies by person and publication.
This is another reason Google Alerts is worth the setup. It gives you a reliable way to catch coverage that might not come with a heads-up.
