Why does my pitch say "Expert from Qwoted?" and How to Edit Your Profile Title

Find out why your pitch shows "an Expert from Qwoted" instead of your title. Learn how the Employment section controls what journalists see on your pitches and how to make sure the right title appears.

If the Pitch Intelligence is showing "an Expert from Qwoted" instead of your name and title, it means your Employment section is empty or incomplete.

The title that appears on your pitch is pulled directly from your source profile. Filling it out matters more than you might think. It's the first thing a journalist sees when your pitch lands in their inbox, and a clear title and company instantly tells them who you are and why you're worth listening to.

To fix it, head to your Employment section and make sure your job title and company are filled in. Not sure how? Check out our guide on how to add or update employment information on Qwoted.

If you have multiple roles listed

Qwoted will display the role with the most recent start date. To control which title shows up on your pitches:

  • Add a start date only to the role you want displayed

  • Leave the start date blank on all other roles

Title on Profile Headline

Your profile header also pulls directly from this field. To update the role and company shown at the top of your profile page, just edit it in the Employment section.
