Submitting a Request on Qwoted is how you let experts, PR professionals, and sources know what kind of commentary you’re looking for. Whether you need an industry expert, a guest for your show, or product recommendations, creating a Request is the first step to getting the right responses.
Here’s how to get started:
Start a New Request
From your dashboard, you can begin a Request in two ways:
Click the “Create Request” button on the left side of your screen.
Or, click on one of the request type cards (Experts, Guests, Speakers, Products, Man on the Street, or Share Work) to go directly to that type of Request.
Both options will take you to the Request form where you’ll enter the details of what you’re looking for.
Open the Request form
Either option will bring you to the Request form. If you’re unsure which request type to choose, you can learn what each type means here. This will help you decide the best fit for your needs.
Fill out the key details:
Title – Write a one-line summary of what you’re looking for.
Description – Be specific about the type of expertise you need.
Where this expertise will appear – For example, a publication, podcast, show, event, or conference.
Deadline – This field is required, but you can update it later.
Promoting Your Request
After filling out your Request, you’ll see the option to promote it beyond the Qwoted network.
Wider Visibility: Qwoted may also give your request an extra lift by sharing a general version of your request on social channels like X, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This helps more experts find your request and increases the chances of strong pitches.
Opt-Out: If you’d prefer not to have your Request promoted publicly, simply check the box that says “Do not promote this request on Qwoted’s social.”
Boosting Engagement: Sharing on Qwoted’s social channels can bring more visibility, but the choice is entirely yours.
👉 Think of this as deciding whether your Request stays inside Qwoted’s walls or gets an extra push outside to reach a wider pool of experts.
Fee-Based Opportunity
If your Request involves a paid editorial placement (for example, sponsored content or fee-based coverage), you’ll need to indicate that clearly when posting.
Why this matters: Transparency keeps Qwoted’s community fair and trustworthy.
How to mark it: Check the box labeled “This is a fee-based opportunity.”
Important: Failure to disclose fee-based opportunities may lead to account restrictions.
👉 Think of this step as flagging paid vs. organic opportunities — it helps experts know exactly what they’re responding to.
Finalize and Publish
Choose where your request fits (Online/Print, Radio/Podcast, Video/Broadcast, Event).
Click Publish to submit.
After Publishing
Once you hit Publish, your Request goes live on Qwoted. From here, you’ll be taken to a page where you can do two things to boost visibility and attract more pitches:
Invite Experts – Click the Invite Experts button to directly reach out to relevant experts suggested by Qwoted. This helps increase the chances of receiving strong, tailored pitches for your request.
Promote on LinkedIn – You’ll also see an option to Promote on LinkedIn. Sharing your source request on LinkedIn boosts visibility outside of Qwoted, helping you attract additional pitches from your extended professional network.
Tip: Even if your ideal source isn’t on Qwoted, submitting a Request will prompt PR teams in our network to suggest similar experts who could be a fit.
