Why pitch inside Qwoted?

Pitching within the Qwoted platform isn't just a rule, it's genuinely the better experience. Here's why it matters, and what you get out of it.

It's what journalists actually want

Media members from top publications come to Qwoted because it reduces the noise.

Many have told us directly that email inboxes are overwhelming, and they prefer having all their pitches in one place where they can manage and respond without the clutter. When you pitch inside the platform, you're making their job easier, and that makes them more likely to engage with you.

That's also why pitching Qwoted opportunities outside the platform goes against our Community Guidelines. It undermines the experience journalists are here for.

The platform works better for you, too

Pitching in Qwoted comes with real, practical advantages:

  1. Read receipts. You'll know the moment a media user opens your pitch, something email simply can't offer.

  2. Pitch intelligence. See how many times an opportunity has been pitched, how many pitches have been read, and how many have gotten a response, so you always know where you stand.

  3. Saved pitch history. Your past pitches are stored and ready to reuse as templates for future opportunities.

  4. Client profiles. Attach credentials and supplementary information directly to your pitch so journalists have everything they need.

  5. Faster responses. Media users tend to reply more quickly in Qwoted because they know every pitch is tied to something they're actively working on.

A note on account flags

Some users still send their pitches over email instead of submitting them inside Qwoted. When someone repeatedly unlocks opportunities without ever submitting a pitch in the platform, our system treats that as a potential spam signal and will temporarily disable the account for our team to investigate.

That said, we know there are plenty of legitimate reasons to unlock an opportunity and then decide not to pitch. Your account will only be flagged if unlocking without submitting becomes a consistent pattern, not a one-off. If you do get disabled,

reach out to us at support@qwoted.com and we'll take a look.

Thanks for being part of the Qwoted community. The more everyone pitches within the platform, the better the experience gets for all of us.
