Welcome to Qwoted!

Qwoted is a global network where everyone has an identity.

Let's walk through the elements of your Expert account to ensure that you are getting the most out of your Qwoted experience!

Your Profile

After logging in to app.qwoted.com, hover over your name in the top right corner of your dashboard and select My Profile from the drop-down menu.

Configuring your profile accomplishes two main things:

  1. It tells our media users a little about you. Who you are, what you do, which topics you have expertise in, etc.

  2. It teaches Qwoted which media opportunities are relevant for you and your business.

Once your profile is configured, you'll begin receiving relevant media opportunities directly to your email inbox.

Your Profile Picture

Adding a profile picture is highly recommended. Media users are 65% more likely to respond to messages from users that have a profile picture.

You can change your profile picture by hovering over the initials avatar on your profile page, clicking "Change" and uploading an image from your device.

Configure your Interests

This is the most important step of setting up your account!

Add the topics you can speak to as an expert. This helps the Qwoted system proactively surface relevant media opportunities directly to your email inbox. Spend a few minutes adding topical tags to your profile. You can also do this here: https://app.qwoted.com/my_interests

Employment

Add your current position and company within your profile as well. You can include both your current role along with any previous roles you'd like to highlight.

Media Experience

This section is where you can display your media assets and highlight your previous media experience. Add links to articles you've been quoted in and video interviews you have done. If you don't have any media experience yet, this is a great place to upload whitepapers, studies, press releases you may have been mentioned in.

When adding URLs to your Media section, be sure you've selected the "Link" tab at the top, and are on the "URL" toggle. Add your URL into the "Item URL" field, and the remaining data should auto-populate.

Recent Quotes

Add quotes/comments for the media to see. These quotes can be lifted from existing articles you may have been featured in OR can be added on the fly to address a hot topic specific to your industry.

Note: It's important to update your recent quotes regularly and make them snappy and interesting. Qwoted sorts sources chronologically so, the more frequently you add quotes, the more likely you are to appear on the reporter homepage or at the top of a given search. Look to add something about trending industry topics a few times per month.

Final Details

To edit and configure further details around your profile, click the edit button within the grey profile dashboard box in the lower-left corner of your profile.

Add a bio here:

Add a contact phone number if you like. (This is optional and is only visible to interested media users.)

Leave the "Hide from search engines" box unchecked if you'd like the profile to be publicly searchable in web searches. If you'd like your profile to remain private to the Qwoted network only, simply check this box.

Be sure to click update to save any edits!

Once your profile is configured, you will begin receiving daily alerts to your email notifying you about new, relevant media opportunities. Your profile will also be searchable in our central Expert Database. Media users can reach out directly if they are interested in hearing from you.

If you have any questions or run into any issues, please don't hesitate to email our team at support@qwoted.com.

Happy pitching!
