We know how much work goes into crafting a great pitch. On Qwoted, the average pitch runs four paragraphs long, and that's no accident. It takes real expertise, coordination, and effort to put one together well.

So we built a way to make that work go further.

When you submit a pitch, you'll notice a checkbox called "Auto-Summarize."

When selected, Qwoted uses AI to generate a concise summary of your pitch and places it in two spots on the platform:

Recent Commentary

Your pitch summary appears on your expert profile under the "Recent Commentary" section. This gives journalists visiting your profile a quick sense of the topics you've weighed in on, making it easier for them to recognize you as a relevant source before they even reach out.

Story Ideas

Your pitch summary also becomes a Story Idea, which shows up in two places: on your own dashboard, and in a feed that journalists browse for inspiration.

From your dashboard, you have two options to extend your reach:

  • Match to Media Database connects you with a curated list of journalists who have written about similar topics, so you can proactively expand your outreach.

  • See Similar Opportunities surfaces media requests that align with your pitch, so you can find more chances to get quoted on the topics you know best.

On the journalist side, the Story Ideas feed lets reporters discover your pitch summary, get inspired by the topic, and reach out to you directly via direct message.

Since your summary already establishes you as a relevant expert, the conversation starts with context built in.

It's a simple way to get more mileage out of the energy you're already putting into your pitches.
